I was diagnosed with an Invasive Ductal Carcinoma on 18th May 2018. I have have seven rounds of chemo, an operation and twenty sessions of radiotherapy. I am still receiving active treatment - which comes with its own problems! I’ve been given the all clear but struggle with the long term side effects that the drugs give me on a daily basis. I signed up to Walk the Walk London Moonwalk 2019 (whilst having chemo) with my friends, friends who have also been on this hard horrible journey. We can do this together.
Unfortunately I’m really struggling with the pain of neuropathy and plantar fasciitis in my feet and I’m on strong pain relief to help me try and do daily tasks. I am unable to walk the 26 miles of the moonwalk, so my angels have said they will push me in a wheelchair, for the whole TWENTY SIX miles, just so I can complete it with them. It will not be easy, for me, or for them.
The day of the Moon Walk with mark exactly 51 weeks since my diagnosis.
Please help me help the charities by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about Walk the Walk, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
